In response to the curatorial brief and with a nod to Alexander Calder’s circus piece we restricted our world to a white box one foot squared within a studio space. The starting point was based on a series of paintings completed in the space over the last two months. Through a process of manipulating the materials and art works found in an artist’s studio we assembled a series of ‘props’ based on the aesthetic of the materials a series of decisions were made to move the work forward, the film charts the activity of this set day in a condensed form. Two minutes 3 seconds.
